Frequently Asked

How can I rid myself of toxic people?
There are several reasons why we tend to attract toxic people into our lives. One common reason is that most of us are good people and good people tend to take on the “savior” complex. We feel that we can help. And, although that may hold true for some, most toxic people are not looking for help. You ever heard the old saying, Misery loves company? Here’s a fact, we can only help others if they first desire to be helped.
Examine your company, determine how much you’re willing to invest of yourself, your positive energy and your resources. And when it’s time, follow the lyrics penned by a famous song writer, Kenny Rogers “You’ve got to know when to hold ’em, know when to fold ’em, know when to walk away and know when to run.”
What can I do to make others see me as a serious, career-minded professional?
Flourished, Inc. deals with this quite extensively in our Self-Image series. We often tell people, “If you want others to see you differently, you must first see yourself differently.” Self-confidence goes a long way in how you’re viewed in many settings.
Whether it’s the board room or the bedroom, your level of confidence starts with the degree of value or worth you place on your being. In order to walk in this magnitude of confidence you must know three things, who you are, whose you are and why you exist.
Why is it so hard for me to succeed?
Without truly examining the journey, I can only speak from what I’ve seen to be common. Most women I’ve encounter through our sessions have acknowledged that they’ve lacked discipline. Whether it’s shedding the extra pounds or saving money to build up an emergency fund, it requires discipline. Success doesn’t happen overnight.
Sometimes, in order for it to be obtained, you must be willing to sacrifice the things you
want today in order to have the things you desire tomorrow.
